It’s our goal to ensure that both our Residents and Visitors are safe during Visitation.


Vitality Spring Resort is opened for visitation only if there is no Covid or any suspected Covid cases.

Restriction does not apply to compassionate and essential visitors. Facility will reopen for visitation in 14 days following no Covid cases.

1. Residents have the right, subject to their consent, to receive the visitor(s) who they designate, including, but not limited to, a spouse, a family member, or friend. Residents have the rights to have consensual physical contact between a them and their visitor(s).

2. Residents have the right to withdraw or deny such consent at any time:

3. The facility will allow in-person visitation under the following specified circumstances. Residents have the right to withdraw or deny such consent at any time:

  • End-of-life situations.
  • A resident who was living with family before being admitted to the provider's care is struggling with the change in environment and lack of in-person family support.
  • The resident is making one or more major medical decisions.
  • A resident, client, or patient is experiencing emotional distress or grieving the loss of a friend or family member who recently died.
  • A resident needs cueing or encouragement to eat or drink which was previously provided by a family member or caregiver.
  • A resident who used to talk and interact with others is seldom speaking.

4. The following rules are in place regarding visitation

  • Visiting hours are every day from 9 am to 5 pm
  • A Resident may have 2 visitors at a time.
  • Visitors are encouraged to call in advance to schedule visits.
  • Visitors are discouraged to visit if they present any kind of respiratory illnesses
  • All visitors will be screened upon entry
  • All visitors must fill out the screening questionnaire
  • Visitors will not be compelled to provide proof of vaccination or immunization status
  • All visitors should decontaminate hands upon entry
  • All visitors must wear face mask.

5. The facility may require that a visitor agree in writing to the visitation policy and has the right to

suspend a visitor, including:

  • Behavior disruptive of the functioning of the patient care unit;
  • Behavior presenting a direct risk or threat to the patient, hospital staff, or others in the immediate environment;
  • Patient's risk of infection by the visitor;
  • Visitor's risk of infection by the patient;
  • Patient's need for privacy or rest
  • The Administrator or Designee of Vitality Spring Resort ALF is responsible to ensure that the staff adhere to the visitation policies and procedures.
